Job Description:
GENERAL FUNCTION: Key member of the Commerce
Payments Solutions team to drive new business development and
revenue growth in key payment vertical markets. The Commerce
Payments Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible to
identify and qualifyhigh value opportunities in key markets,
develop and development and execution of the business opportunity.
The BDM will develop an opportunity plan containing the value
proposition for commerce payment solutions, work with internal
resources,externalpartners, existing customer and prospects to
align the opportunity to meet the needs of clients or prospects
within a defined vertical. The BDM will be adept at creating and
nurturing executive relationships (CEO, CFO, COO) on their own
whilepositioning the Payments Commerce team to assist. ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: . Responsible for the maturation of
one or more key vertical markets for Commerce Payments. Lead market
research, partner development, opportunity identification and life
cycle management of solution development. . Accountable for
delivery initial revenue contribution and a plan to continue growth
of a recurring revenue stream for the target vertical market(s). .
Drive maturation of specific growth opportunities to contribute to
the Commerce Payment vertical revenue targets. Subject matter
expert on strategic enterprise opportunities and alignment with
Fifth Third capabilities. . Work in conjunction with Product and
Payment Strategy to develop and architect proof of value
demonstrations based on customer articulated and unarticulated
needs . Set objectives and review the performance of the commerce
payments solution practice and take action to ensure targets are
met and the team is continually developed . Work with Product
Marketing to ensure alignment of messaging with market trends .
Align with the Product Management teams to innovate and evolve the
product strategy to define solutions for growth/future markets .
Create strategic partnerships internally and externally key
professional services partners to drive business cases,
prototyping, voice of customer and pilots to validate and mature
