Schedule: M-F 8 am-5 pm
Type: Direct/Permanent
Target Salary Range: 65K-80K (flexible dependent on level of
experience) + relocation if needed
The R&D Technologist plays a critical role in supporting the
on-site Research and Development (R&D) activities. This
position involves conducting experiments and performing wet bench
work under the guidance of the R&D Manager. The successful
candidate will contribute to innovative multiomics research and
development projects, ensuring experimental procedures are executed
with precision and align with the highest scientific standards.
This role requires a combination of technical skills, attention to
detail, and a commitment to advancing the company's research
objectives.
Responsibilities: Conduct laboratory experiments and perform Next
Generation Sequencing (NGS) wet bench workflows, as directed by the
R&D Manager.
Prepare and analyze samples using various molecular biology
techniques, including sequencing and other genomics assays.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, including
protocols, results, and observations.
Assist in the development and optimization of experimental
protocols and procedures.
Collaborate with the R&D team to troubleshoot and resolve
technical issues in the laboratory.
Ensure laboratory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated,
adhering to safety and quality standards.
Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, research
papers, and presentations for internal and external
stakeholders.
Participate in team meetings and discussions, providing insights
and updates on ongoing experiments.
Comply with all relevant regulatory and quality standards in the
laboratory setting.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in life sciences, molecular
biology, or a related field.
Laboratory experience with molecular biology techniques such as NGS
library preparation, sequencing, and nucleic acid extraction.
Two years of industry experience in a molecular biology or related
laboratory setting.
Familiarity with NGS technologies and applications.
Experience with data analysis and interpretation of molecular
biology experiments.
Strong technical writing skills and ability to contribute to
research publications and presentations.
Proficiency in molecular biology techniques and laboratory
practices
Independent and self-starting laboratory work ethic
Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking
Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to follow protocols and adapt to new methods
Commitment to maintaining high standards of laboratory safety and
quality.
