Job Description: Radiology Coordinator - Nuclear Medicine / PET
Full Time Job Description
- Coordinates delivery of health care services to assist in
diagnosis and treatment. Provides health care services and
departmental efficiency in the Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT
department using radioisotopes to assist diagnosis or treatment.
Performs nuclear medicine and PET/CT related procedures, computer
processing and related techniques, producing images for the
interpretation by or at the request of a licensed independent
practitioner.
- Directs human and physical resources to achieve an established
standard of care in Nuclear Medicine services.
- Exercises professional judgment in performance of duties and
maintain a demeanor complementary to medical ethics.
- Recognizes various patient conditions in order to provide
appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the
exam or procedure.
- Assure appropriate patient care management and adjust daily
operation to meet the needs of a changing working environment.
- Provides adequate scheduling coverage in all areas and posts
schedules at least two weeks prior to end of current schedule
Requirements
- Current American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in
Radiography RT(R)/ Nuclear Medicine (CNMT).
- Current license with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and
Radiation Therapy
- Current Advanced ARRT and /or CNMT Registry is required.
- PET certification recommended upon completion of 700 hours of
clinical experience
- Working knowledge on areas to be supervised.
- Current CPR for Healthcare Providers.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as
