ABOUT KIDS CENTER FOR PEDIATRIC THERAPIESKids Center for Pediatric Therapies (Kids Center) is an independent non-profit 501(c)(3) mission that empowers children with physical, behavioral, and intellectual challenges to reach their full potential through comprehensive and integrated medical therapies (physical, occupational and speech therapies plus nutrition services and medical clinics). The families, and their commitment, are a big part of our care. Our transformative care inspires our children and their families to build confidence, encourage joy, and live with hope for the future.Kids Center is a multi-disciplinary non-profit outpatient therapy center for children from newborn up to 21 years of age who experience developmental disabilities or delays. More than 1,200 kids and families receive care annually at Kids Center leading to more than 700 visits per week. The Kids Center has a team of 60, including direct service providers, administration, marketing/development, and leadership and has an overall operating budget of $6 million.THE OPPORTUNITYKids Center for Pediatric Therapies is seeking a strategic, organized, self-motivated and collaborative finance and administrative professional to help navigate the organization through a period of strong growth and impact.Reporting to the President/CEO, the Senior Director/AVP of Finance & Revenue Cycle Management serves as a key leadership team member and an active participant in making strategic decisions affecting the Kids Center. The Sr. Director will work closely and collaboratively with the SVP of Program Services and the VP of Development and Marketing and will manage a bookkeeper plus, in time, a revenue cycle manager and function in 2026. The department recently moved to Financial Edge (accounting software by Blackbaud) to align more closely with development functions.The successful candidate will have a keen eye toward contributed revenue. These areas are expected to see significant growth in the years ahead, especially as federal and state funding are expected to see declines in growth. As a member of the senior leadership team, the Director will be actively involved in strategic planning, budgeting, data analytics, team evaluations, growth initiatives, project management and various duties involving the board finance committee and Board of Directors, while still being actively engaged in managing and executing the financial and administrative responsibilities of the organization. As a result of anticipated organizational growth, there is the opportunity for significant personal and professional growth in this role.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

  • Manage Investment accounts and work with investment advisors.
  • Coordinate all audit activities and proper filing of tax returns.
  • Work closely with VP of Development and Marketing on pledge reports and tracking.
  • Review and manage contracts and systems with vendors and payers (Insurance companies, IT support, etc.).
  • Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
  • Oversee collection process and manage aging from payers and private pay.BUDGETING & REPORTING
    • Create, review, and approve finalization of monthly and annual financial reporting materials and metrics working with CEO, SVP, VP, other AVPs, Director(s) and Board of Directors.
    • Coordinate the development and monitoring of budgets.
    • Manage daily cash flow and prepare weekly reports.STRATEGY
      • Develop financial business plans and forecasts to provide insight into the organization's current and future operations.
      • Engage with the Finance Committee of the Board of Directors and the Revenue Cycle Task Force, along with the CEO/President, SVP and VP, to develop financial plans and projections.
      • Represent the agency to financial partners, including financial institutions, bank and investment executives, auditors, etc.ADMINISTRATION
        • Manage the organization's administrative processes including HR, IT, payroll, and benefit functions.
        • Manage Insurance and patient billing process and coordinate work with outside vendors and internal staff.
        • Facilities planning and other administrative duties as needed and assigned.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
          • A proven track record of at least 7-10 years of successful experience in healthcare financial management role, partnering with senior leadership staff, managing the finance, administration and revenue cycle of a $6 - $10 million plus business or organization.
          • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in finance, business or accounting required; an MBA or CPA preferred.
          • Experience in the healthcare industry, healthcare billing, insurance payer contract relationships, insurance payer contract negotiations, and non-profit sector highly preferred.
          • A leader with a thorough understanding of financial procedures and strategies.
          • Technologically savvy, mastery of Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint and Financial Edge (or similar accounting system) and other billing and accountant software packages.
          • Self-starter, and self-motivated with the ability to effectively organize and manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously.
          • Possess a strong work ethic, proactive approach, positive attitude, and great attention to detail.
          • Team-player that collaborates well with co-workers and stakeholders.
          • High level of integrity and moral ethics, discretion with confidential information.
          • Excellent communication, analytical, critical thinking and organization skills.COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSKids Center for Pediatric Therapies is prepared to offer a base salary in the range of $95,000-$115,000, commensurate with experience. In addition, a performance-based annual variable compensation package is available up to 10%.
