This role is office hybrid and based in Louisville, Kentucky.
What the Role Is
The Marketing Manager, Global Travel Retail will be responsible for
developing and executing marketing strategies and initiatives to
drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales growth across
various travel channels, with initial focus in airports and cruise
lines.
How You Will Spend Your Time?
- Marketing Strategy: Develop comprehensive Heaven Hill marketing
plans and campaigns tailored to the unique needs and
characteristics of the travel retail environment, aligning with
overall business objectives and brand positioning.
- Product Development: Work closely with brand team on new
product development specific for the various channels.
- Brand Activation: Collaborate closely with Heaven Hill
marketing brand managers and other internal stakeholders to develop
and execute impactful brand activation initiatives, promotions, and
events within travel retail locations.
- Channel Marketing: Develop channel-specific marketing programs
and materials to support sales efforts and enhance brand visibility
in airports, cruise terminals, and other travel retail
outlets.
- Digital Marketing: Work closely with the digital marketing team
to prepare social media marketing, email campaigns, and online
advertising to reach and engage travelers across digital
channels.
- Merchandising Support: Work closely with the Heaven Hill
merchandising team to develop compelling point-of-sale materials,
displays, and product presentations that drive sales and showcase
brand identity in travel retail environments.
- Market Analysis: Conduct regular market research, competitor
analysis, and consumer insights studies to identify trends,
opportunities, and threats within the travel retail sector,
informing strategic decision-making.
- Budget Management: Manage the marketing budget for the channel,
ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing ROI
across all marketing initiatives.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, product
development, operations, and other departments to ensure alignment
and integration of marketing efforts with overall business
objectives.
Who You Are---
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a
related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in brand/corporate marketing,
with at least 3 years in luxury and/or travel retail.
- Strong understanding of shopper marketing and how to bring
brands to life.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven negotiating skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing
marketing strategies and campaigns that drive sales and brand
awareness.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and
platforms, with hands-on experience in managing digital marketing
campaigns.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to
prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
- Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and brand
building, coupled with strong analytical skills and attention to
detail.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal
skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence
stakeholders at all levels.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally within the Americas region
and internationally as needed.
Valued but not Required Skills and Experience:
- Five years international marketing experience in travel retail,
luxury retail, or consumer goods industry.
- MBA preferred.
- Proficiency in a second language preferable.
Physical Requirements
While performing duties of the job, the employee is occasionally
required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel
objects, and use a computer; reach with hands and arms. Employee
must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
