Job Description:
Manpower Engineering is looking for an Industrial Engineer for
our Louisville, Kentucky client. - This is a direct hire/perm role,
M-F days.
Position Overview:
As an Industrial Engineer, you will be instrumental in improving
the efficiency and productivity of our manufacturing and delivery
systems. You will have oversight and management of the maintenance
department and be responsible for designing systems, analyzing
data, reducing costs, and enhancing work areas. Your role will
involve close collaboration with various departments to implement
improvements, develop safety plans, and ensure operational
excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyzing Data: Collect and analyze data on processes and
production through observations, time studies, and surveys.
Identify trends and areas for improvement to drive decision-making
and enhance performance. Improve upon current PM process.
Designing Systems: Develop and implement processes, systems, and
enhancements to maximize productivity, efficiency, and optimal use
of space. - May research alternate equipment then visit vendors.

Collaborating with Others: Work closely with other departments,
including production, quality control, and supply chain, to develop
and implement recommendations for improvement. Engage with
customers and management to establish design and production
standards.
Reducing Costs: Focus on reducing operational costs while
maintaining high standards. Implement cost controls and monitor
expenditures to minimize production issues and optimize resource
utilization.
Improving Work Areas: Design, redesign, or enhance work areas and
layouts to eliminate inefficiencies and repetitive motions,
fostering a more productive and ergonomic environment.
Developing Safety Plans: Identify potential risk factors and
develop comprehensive safety plans to minimize health and safety
risks. Conduct employee safety training to promote a safe working
environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years' experience
Proven experience in industrial engineering, with a focus on
process optimization and maintenance management.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data collection and
analysis. - MS Excel abilities.
Experience in designing systems and improving work areas.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and
communicate recommendations clearly.
Demonstrated success in reducing costs and implementing cost
controls.
Knowledge of safety regulations and experience in developing safety
plans and conducting training.
