Education and Experience -
Experience Needed: Grants Administration Experience.
PeopleSoft and/or Workday Experience.
Strong Analytical Skills.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Job Responsibilities: Actively participate in the discovery, implementation, testing, and operationalization phases of Workday implementation.
Develop and monitor progress on test scenarios for integrations and conversions, tracking defect resolution in line with the testing strategy.
Assist in facilitating the transition from the legacy system to Workday Finance, including sponsored programs data conversion and proactive closeout initiation.
Assist with managing the implementation timeline and milestones.
Support the Senior Director in designing the Workday Finance grant solution, ensuring cross-functional impacts are addressed.
Identify opportunities for process improvements using business knowledge.
Translate business requirements into complex system configurations.
Develop and maintain documentation for implementation and go-live processes.
Contribute to the design and configuration of the Workday Finance grants module, and provide input on integrations, data conversion, reporting, security, and testing for the Workday Finance system.
Work with Sponsored Programs Accounting staff and other stakeholders to gather and prioritize requirements, ensuring the development of an effective Workday Finance solution.
After operationalization and hyper-care phases, perform standard duties of Grant Management Accountant (or Grant Management Accountant, Sr.) including grant setup, billing, collections, payment applications, financial reporting, and closeout.
After go-live, research, propose, and assist with the implementation of system enhancements to improve functionality for the Sponsored Programs research accounting team and stakeholders.
Support the development of Workday Finance training for Sponsored Programs and assist with readiness for cutover and operationalization, providing post-go-live support.
Participate in the design and development of reporting solutions for Sponsored Program Accounting users and campus stakeholders.
Provide post-go-live support, resolving system issues and ensuring alignment between business processes and system configurations.
Investigate new system functionality and assess its impact on the organization.
Perform other duties as assigned.


Specific Tasks that the Workday Grants Team Needs Assistance: Sponsor data cleanup.
Grant Personnel data cleanup.
Subaward cleanup and data entry in Workday at go-live.
Cost Share cleanup and analysis of cost share speed types that need to be cleaned up and closed before go-live.
Assisting with Tenant Build report analysis to determine why grants failed to load and assist in cleanup of data causing the failed loads.
Assisting with the Billing Simulation data preparation and loads and confirming that the data loaded to Workday agrees with PeopleSoft.
